Dr. Walter "Wally" King, Jr. OD
Dr. King, Jr. is a member of the American Optometric Association of North Carolina Board of Optometry. He is licensed to prescribe and fit lenses to improve vision and to diagnose and treat various eye disorders. Dr. King earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Furman University and his OD from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He completed his internships in clinics located in Philadelphia, Charlotte and Salisbury. Dr. King enjoyed working alongside his father- Dr. Walter King, Sr for many years.
Dr. King and his wife Kristin have a daughter, Neila and a son, Mason. They enjoy spending time with family and traveling. Dr. King likes football, basketball and swimming.

Dr. Walter L. King, Sr. MD- Retired in December 2020.
Dr. King is a lifetime member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He opened Viewmont Optometry, formerly Viewmont Eye Associates, in 1983.
With mixed emotions, he decided to retire due to the pandemic. Dr. King and his wife Miriam Hostetter King have been married for fifty-plus years and have five grown children, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
They will enjoy spending time with family, traveling and relaxing at Sunset Beach during retirement.
